Funtimes and Silly Faces

Today we went to PA to spend the day with my niece and nephew before they leave tomorrow to spend the summer in Alabama with my brother{their dad}. We had a fun time. Sebastian loves getting to play with his cousins and they have a couple of acres so he just runs like a mad man. I only managed to get two pictures. Gavin and Sebastian were making silly faces. We're going to miss them while there gone!

This Week I Love...

Since I started this blog almost six months ago I have become pretty good at blog stalking {don't judge me you know you do it too}. With that being said I came across someones blog last month that did something I thought was cool so I'm going to borrow it{I say borrow, but I really mean steal}. You see every Friday she has a post entitled this week I love and she goes on to list things that happened that week that she loved. Pretty cool I thought, so I'm going to give it a try. Thus begins my weekly Friday post "this week I love" Enjoy!

{I love my new camera and capturing all his wonderful wonderfulness}

{I love that even when he is sick he's so happy}

{I love that even when he irritates me to the ends of this earth, I stumble upon this and fall in love with him all over again}

What did you love about this week?!

There is where Donald will be tonight

Why you may ask is he in the dog house well I'll tell you. This morning he called and said that his boss had ask him to work for him tomorrow instead of taking the day off. He then called me and asked me what I thought about it as it would mean some extra money. Although the money would be nice I was looking forward to spending a long weekend with my husband and told him I didn't want him to work, I was under the impression that we agreed he wouldn't work. He said Ok and that was the end of the conversation or so I thought. He just called to inform me that he is working tomorrow. Hello why even call and ask my opinion if you just totally disregard it. I love my husband to death and appreciate how hard he works to support our family but some times he irritates me!

Help Me OUT....

....Go to my photoblog and cast your vote. Go on you know you want to! Other wise i might resort to this..

And you don't want that to happen!

...AND YOU WILL CALL ME SEBASTIAN

So many words can be used to describe my son. Energetic, intelligent, stubborn, shy, but most of all he's an old soul! I'm always telling my mom he's an old man trapped in a little boys body. Take this hat for example. He loves it! It is his most prized possession. He wears it with everything! So I decided to snap a few pictures of him wearing it while we took our daily walk. I also wanted to get out and practice with my new camera. I haven't really had a chance to just play around with it yet. While we were on our walk we had an interesting conversation that went a little something like this Me: "Patch catch up" {patch is just one of the nick names I have for him}
Him: " NO I a Sebastian and you will call me Sebastian!
Me: "yes SIR"
Him: " Not sir SEBASTIAN"
Me: "got ya"
So stinking funny I about peed my pants I was laughing so hard. Anyway here are some pictures form our little adventure. I was playing around with so different exposures post editing and working on close ups.

{here are to of the close ups I liked}

{and here are the pictures of Sebastian. The first picture is of him at home after our walk. He is pitching a fit because I told he had to have water and not apple juice. Apparently he wasn't happy with me.}

Annoying

We live across the street from a park. I used to be able to look out my window and see beautiful trees and a wide open field. I used to hear birds chirping and kids playing. Now I look out my window and see this. And 24 hours of the day we hear the annoying banging and drilling sounds that come from this. I call it this cause I don't no what it is. I just know that I'm sick of seeing and hearing it!

THANK YOU!

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in my free shoots. I had a lot of fun a learned tons. I hope your were as happy with your pictures as I was! Business is doing good I had my first paying job last week and have two more this week. To say I'm excited is a complete understatement! With each shoot I am starting to get more and more confidant in my abilities. I have yet to take pictures of complete strangers so I'm sure the first time that happens there will be quit a few butterflies in the stomach. I am just so excited to being pursuing something that I am passionate about and making money while I'm at it.

Memorial Day Fun

Yesterday for Memorial Day we went to our friends house the Carters for a BBQ. We had a great time and Sebastian loved being able to play with the kids. The weather was great and it didn't rain until the very end! Sebastian was exhausted and fell asleep on the way home. I was looking forward to a good nights sleep with Sebastian sleeping through the night. At 2 am he woke up vomiting and was running a really high fever. Poor guy I hate it when hes sick! He still asleep so hopefully this extra rest will help him get over it quickly. He's been whimpering in his sleep all night. So sad! Thank you Carter Family for an enjoyable day! And Thank You veterans for all that you do!

"Horn Dogs and High Heels" {the one time I dont have my camera}

Yesterday I was making lunch {by making I mean I placed a piece of frozen food into the oven}, when I turned around to see Sebastian standing in the kitchen door way in his underwear and my black heals! To add to the humor of this situation he then says what ya making mom horn dogs {aka corn dog}, I don't like horn dogs! The one time I don't have my camera, go figure. This kid craps me up. Side note I'm not sure what should bother me more the fact that he was wearing my heals or that he walks better in them then I do!?

Little Miss Miaya

Today I had the opportunity to shoot my first newborn session! Little Miaya is only 6 days old! She the daughter of Mel a good friend of ours. I was extremely nervous at first in fact I didn't sleep at all last night. I had a blast however and really enjoyed it. The pictures turned out awesome {however I'm a little biased} so you be the judge, you can check them out here.
Thank you Mel and Tony for giving me this opportunity!

Man vs Wild

Ok not really but the title sounded good anyway. Donald and I took Sebastian to Mill Creek park this afternoon to feed the ducks at the Lilly Pond. Well life at the pond today was less then energetic to say the least. All the birds and other animals were just not as interactive as they usually are. I guess there still working off this horrible winter we had this year! So anyways we decided to pack it up and go check out Lanterman's Mill and the waterfall. We had a good time walking the trail and Donald had a good time pretending he was Bear Gryles. He was really getting into it, pretty funny. There was this one trail that we went on that I remembered going on with my dad when I was Sebastian's age. It was great to share something with him that I enjoyed at his age. It was a great day and before we knew it two and half hours had passed and it was time to head home.

Good Friends...Good TImes

Friday our ward had a play group at the mall, it was really good to get together and have some adult conversation! The kids had a blast running around like crazy people and I got a chance to practice my photo taking skills. It was exciting to see all there little personalities show through! I got some really good shots! To check out pictures form our little adventure click here.
