Today Donald and I took Sebastian to the Children's Museum here in Youngstown. Sebastian had a good time going to the various stations and trying the little experiments they had set up. His favorite thing to do however was to sit in the replica airplane that they had. We are really enjoying his 4 day weekend once a month and like to take full advantage of it. Since Donald was off Monday and Tuesday I decided to join the mall walking group for these two days. Yesterday was great and I felt like I got a really good work out. Today I can hardly move I'm in so much pain. Who new walking could work so many muscles!

Fun with cousins

Today my niece and nephew came over to spend the day with Sebastian. We had lots of fun just running abound and being goofy! While they were here I decided to get some Pictures for there mom for mothers day.

This is my nephew Gavin Tyler. He is 8 years old and full of energy! He is so good with Sebastian and his little sister. He is such a sweet little boy he calls Sebastian his little brother and tells him when he gets older he'll teach him everything he knows. So cute!

This is my niece Cameron Nicole she just turned 4 last month. Don't let the cute face full you she is 100 percent sass. This little girl cracks me up. She's always bossing Sebastian around. Her and Sebastian are only 9 months apart so its been fun to watch them grow up together.

FROG HUNT

Last night Sebastian and I went with some good friends of ours on a frog hunt. Mill Creek Park offer all kinds of different wild life hikes and activities through out the year, this was our first time attending one of these events and we had a blast! We also learned a lot about frogs. Sebastian did so good, I was worried because it was so late he wouldn't do that well but I was able to get him to take a 3 hour nap today so her was ready to go. Good thing because we didn't get home until 11! Every time someone would catch a frog Sebastian would say look mommy its Kermit! Those suckers are hard to catch, we didn't have any luck but Tyler caught one! We had a great time and will defiantly be going on more of these adventures in the future! Thanks Judy and Tyler for inviting us.

We got something!

It's a green tree frog...aka Kermit

Did you see it mom, he was so excited and wanted to find more!

I think he was starting to get a little tired, hence the drunken look.

Yea for photoshop

Recently I have been debating whether or not to buy adobe photoshop. I went on their website today and fund a free trail download and have been playing with it all morning. I love it! Definitely will be buying it once the trail version runs out. There is so much stuff you can do on this thing with your photos. So here is the first picture I played around with, what do you think? I think it came out cute! The weather has been beautiful here so we have been outside everyday. However there calling for a snow/rain mix on Tuesday! Lets hope they got that one wrong. Today its supposed to be 77! I'm almost convinced that winter is over. This week I got switched from teaching the 9 year old to the sunbeams. I'm excited but also a little unsure about this because Sebastian will be in my class. I kind of enjoyed getting a break on Sundays. But at the same time he is having such a hard time adjusting to Primary that I think it is going to take a lot of stress off both of us! He is just getting so BIG to FAST! This week we started working on learning how to spell his name(it has 9 letters in it so i figured we should start early). I figured we could work on this over the next couple of weeks until he learned it. I even made up a little song to help him out. By Wednesday he had already learned it! I was so proud of him we called all of our family to have him do it for them it was so cute he was so proud of himself. Sunday were going over to some friends house to watch the Suns Spurs game. Hopefully the Suns can bounce back and make this a series. Donald has Monday and Tuesday off I think we might go up to Kirtland. We haven't been there in almost a year so it will be nice to take Sebastian there now that he is a little older.

Reflections of Christ

I just got done watching the Reflections of Christ video and I'm pretty much speechless! The spirit that is felt is like nothing I have ever experienced. I only wish I would have known it was on display in Arizona while I was down there I feel so bummed that I didn't get to see it in person. The pictures just evoke so much emotion and self introspection, please please if you haven't seen watch it and tell others about it to. It can be a great missionary tool. How blessed we are to have a Savior who loved us so much he was willing to suffer such pain that we will never be able to comprehend. Here is the link to view the video enjoy!

A conversation with Sebastian

Last Thursday I woke up with a horrible migraine and was just not able to do very much because it was so intense. This is the conversation that took place between me and Sebastian.

Sebastian: Mommy can we go on my trail?
Me: No Sebastian mommy has a headache and needs to lay on the couch for a while.
Sebastian: OH, you puke in the potty!
Me: Yes honey I puked in the potty.
(he sits down and watches noggin 5 min later he walks over to me)
Sebastian: Kisses me on the forehead and says you stay here and feel better I go on my trail by myself!
Me: flying of the couch are you nuts!
Sebastian: No? I a big boy!

Needless to say there was no more resting after that! So cute though I couldn't help but laugh, at least he kissed me good by before he was going to take off!

Remember when.....

Remember the episode of friends when Rachel refused to go running with Phoebe because she would run with her arms all over the place like a complete idiot. Then later in the episode Rachel asks Phoebe why she runs like that and she tells her it reminds her of being a kid and being free? I remember thinking to myself kids don't run like that! Fast forward 10 years and this is how Sebastian runs! What a nerd!!

More fun outside and a freaky tree

Today in between the rain Sebastian and I ventured outside for some fresh air and a little game of pooh stick. Here he is picking out the perfect stick!

Just a cute pic of him looking through a tree.

Have you ever seen anything like it!? It's quit gross if you ask me. After walking past it everyday this week on our hikes he finally got up enough courage to touch it today.
This picture came out so cute Sebastian just charged after me when we were done playing pooh stick! I edited it with a vintage tone.

Sping has sprung!

It took long enough but spring is finally here! Sebastian and I have just returned from our second hike of the day and its only 2:00. We had a great time trying to see if we could spot any baby animals. No such luck though, just a few birds but it was just great to get out in the fresh air. We also walked to the bridge and decided to play a little pooh sticks. For those of you who don't no what pooh sticks is it's when you through sticks off one side of a bridge and the stick that reaches the other side first wins. Its the greatest game to play in the hundred acre woods. We had lots of fun and as always I got lots of great pictures so enjoy!

His eyes just kill me, just want to eat him up.

Sebastian found his shadow! At first it was cool and he called it his friend, then he got mad and told it to leave him alone. Apparently the friendship was short lived.

Playing a little pooh stick, as Sebastian would say "It's an amazing game mommy!"

Sebastian pointing out to me that the birds are to close and we need to tell them to fly away. Sebastian is terrified of birds, when we were in Arizona we went to a farm to feed some chickens and gather their eggs. Sebastian went into the coop to get some eggs. There was a chicken in there and it started to flap around and get out. Sebastian jumps out of the coop and screams I don't like chickens. Poor kid, so now anything that has wings he is terrified of. He even has bad dreams about them.

Wow

Wow conference this past weekend was just amazing. Two full days of probably the best talks I have ever herd! To top it all off Sebastian was an angle for all four sessions. Both days during the morning sessions he would sit quietly in the pew and play with his cars or color. Then during the two hour break we would go to the cultural hall and have lunch, he would run around like a mad man the whole time. That way when the afternoon sessions started he fell asleep! Yesterday when we got home form church and we were saying our family prayers we told Sebastian how proud of him we were for being such a good boy at church these past two days. Then we told him Heavenly Father and Jesus were proud of him to, his little face just lit up and he said they were, so precious! So grateful for this gospel and the happiness it brings our family. Heres a picture of Sebastian and his friend Benjamin during the Saturday break outside of our meeting house.

Ten things I've learned from being a parent!

THIS IS DONALD, VAL'S HUSBAND. SHE IS SO LUCKY TO BE MARRIED TO ME! ACTUALLY I THINK I'M THE LUCK ONE. SO LAST NIGHT I WAS THINKING OF THE THINGS I HAVE LEARNED OVER THE PAST 3.5 YEARS AND THIS IS WHAT I HAVE LEARNED.

10. BIRTH IS AN INTERESTING EXPERIENCE, PERSONALLY I WAS AMAZED BY IT ESPECIALLY THE AFTERBIRTH. I'LL STOP THEIR OR VAL WILL KILL ME.

9. THE MOST ANNOYING SOUND IN THE WORLD IS WHINING.

8. NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY HE'S ALWAYS ONE STEP AHEAD OF ME IN WHAT HE WANTS AND HOW TO GET IT.

7. PRAYER IS DEFINITELY A VALUABLE TOOL IN MY DAY TO DAY LIFE.

6. ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE THE FUN ONE RATHER THAN THE MEAN ONE.

5. I UNDERSTAND HOW THE MIND WORKS AND HOW MINE STOPPED WORKING ABOUT 22 YEARS AGO. I HOPE THAT HE DOESN'T GET SMARTER THAN ME.

4. MONEY IS NICE BUT BEING HOME IS BETTER. ALSO LOVING YOUR WORK MAKES THINGS EASIER

3. HIS GOAL IS TO TAKE OVER AND TO RULE EVERY ASPECT OF MY LIFE. I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST MY WIFE BUT NO ITS SEBASTIAN TOO.

2. LEARNING HOW TO FAKE SLEEP SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET UP. ALSO EARPLUGS WORK WONDERS WHEN YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH THIS FEAT. (NOTE: DON'T OVER DO IT WITH THE FAKE SLEEPING BECAUSE THE CHANCE TO SPEND WITH THEM IS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE, SO TREASURE IT, THEY GROW UP TO FAST.)

1. I HAVE GAINED A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE ATONEMENT AND HOW I THINK OUR HEAVENLY FATHER FELT ABOUT SACRIFICING HIS SON SO WE COULD ALL LIVE WITH HIM AGAIN.

A little bit of everything

Donald had Monday and Tuesday off this week so we took Sebastian to the Eastwood Mall to visit the Aquarium. He loves looking at all the fish!

Every Sunday after church we go over to the Moore's house for dinner. Above is a picture of him with Britta. Sebastian just adores her and has her wrapped around his little finger. Britta doesn't seem to mind though. Below is a picture of him with Whitney and Brenda. He is also very found of these two people. Sebastian is having a hard time adjusting to Sunbeams and Brenda is the only one who can calm him down and get him to go to class. She's a life saver!

Here are two pictures I took of Sebastian in his Easter outfit. I have more but their on my moms camera. I love the bottom picture, he has the darkest eyes.
