Sebastian and I leave Friday for our month long adventure to Arizona and for the life of me I can not get motivated to get anything done. And this is so unlike me usually I would have been packed and ready weeks ago ( I'm a very impatient person and want things done at that moment, usually). I think I'm a little apprehensive about being away from Donald for a whole month (were even going to miss our anniversary). Sebastian on the other hand is so excited and can't wait. Every day he wakes up and asks if today is the day we leave. Hopefully I will find the motivation I need before our plane takes off!
We will miss you President Hinckley!
Its funny how sometimes the talks that are given on Sunday at Sacrament can apply to everything around you. Yesterdays talks were about new beginnings. Donald and I both were really touched by these talks and decided to really commit ourselves to daily scripture study, family as well as personal. We awoke this morning a little earlier than usual as Sebastian decided to start the day at 4am. As we always do each morning we turned on the news only to find out that President Hinckley had passed away during the night. So I guess it is a new begging of sorts also for the church as a whole as we welcome in our new prophet in the next couple of weeks, and never forgetting how President Hinckley touched each of our live.
Ok so this year instead of taking Sebastian somewhere to get his pictures done i decided to do them myself. I think they came out pretty good, Sebastian is so used to having a camera in his face so he just thought it was like any other day. Once I figured out the lighting it went pretty quick and I actually enjoyed it!
Note to self, chocolate milk and mandarin oranges are not a good combination. Unfortunately I found this out the hard way last night as Sebastian was bit by the flu bug late last night (or early this morning, depending how you look at it). The only thing I hate more than cleaning up puke at one in the morning is seeing Sebastian sick. There is no worse feeling then not being able to make your child feel better. So it's pajama day in the Erickson house hold and Sebastian is feeling much better this morning! Although he was devastated when he found out he couldn't go to preschool today. However I was able to cheer him up when I told him he could help me pack for our trip! Ten more days and its good bye snow, hello sunshine. A whole month in Arizona, it can't come soon enough!

So after reading Sheena's blog I've have been inspired to start our own. Hopefully this will keep our friends and most importantly Donald's family updated. Also i figure it will be a good outlet for the many pictures I take of Sebastian. I must end for now as Sebastian has decided to strip naked and run around the house singing Trace Adkins newest hit "I Got My Game On"! Wish me luck!
